New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on October 1, 2020) follows:

Xiaomi Mi 10 is among the very first devices that got the update to Android 11 from the OEM along with the Redmi K30 Pro, albeit in beta.

However, at the time, only the Chinese variants of both devices got the latest OS. But as I write this, Android 11 is also being tested on the global Mi 10 units.

Now, it seems that the OEM has taken a step forward with the development of Android 11 as a new beta stable version is rolling out to the Mi 10 in China.

The information comes from the Mi Community where the announcement for the latest Android 11-based MIUI 12 beta stable update has been made by the OEM.

As per the announcement post, the update version 12.1.5.0.RJBCNXM is live over the air and those who have signed up for Xiaomi’s beta testing program can grab it now.

While the update is already reaching testers, those who want to install the update manually on their Mi 10 can grab it from the download link given below.

You can also refer to these workarounds in case you come across any errors while manually installing the update on your Mi 10.

  • Codename: umi
  • Channel: China Stable
  • Version: V12.1.5.0.RJBCNXM

While the latest OS update is also out for the global Mi 10 variant as version 12.1.2.0.RJBMIXM, it is currently meant for the Mi Pilot program members.

The OEM opened up the Android 11 beta update global trial applications for the Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, and Poco F2 Pro back in June and the first beta update arrived for the Mi 10 series in the same month.
