Xiaomi is still enhancing MIUI 12 but speculations about the MIUI 13 update have been rife for quite some time.
Way back in April, the Chinese tech giant conducted a survey which was focused on getting user feedback about features they would like to see in MIUI 13.
Cut to late October, the MIUI 13 update was expected to be unveiled at Xiaomi’s Mi Developer Conference (MIDC) that took place between November 5 and 7.
While the next MIUI iteration was not revealed at the MIDC, recent reports suggest that the OEM might unveil MIUI 13 in the second quarter of 2021.
The information comes from a Mi Community super moderator who has clearly stated that MIUI 13 will be showcased in Q2 2021.
MIUI 13 will be presented in Q2 2021.
However, the credibility of this info cannot be verified as moderators usually do not know what goes around in the inner circle.
So, the latest information should be taken with a pinch of salt until Xiaomi makes an official announcement about MIUI 13.
This also means that the OEM might unveil the next MIUI iteration earlier than the said period but it is still based on our speculation.
It must be noted that the MIUI 12 update was revealed in Q1 2020 but there are still a few devices in line to get the latest custom skin, hence, its development is still on.
Taking all this into consideration, there might be a slight possibility that Xiaomi will unveil the MIUI 13 update later in 2021 or around the period mentioned by the super moderator.
Nevertheless, nothing is confirmed until Xiaomi sheds some light on the matter making things official and credible.
That said, we will keep tracking this for further development and will provide more details once new information becomes available.
