Xiaomi has recently released its weekly bug status report. It outlines some of the common MIUI 12 bugs that are either fixed or are being fixed by Xiaomi.
While some issues are spread across all devices, some are specific to devices like the Redmi Note 7, Redmi 6 Pro, and Poco X3.
The very first entry in the weekly bug report is for the MIUI System apps updater issue which prevented users from updating system apps.
It was reported earlier that the issue was being looked into on priority and the weekly report clearly outlines that the server side issue has been resolved since November 3.
Another issue that has affected all devices is related to unexpected reboot and device switching off. The fix for this issue arrived on November 6 on top of a stable update.
Apart from that, users of the Redmi Note 7 running MIUI 11 versions 11.0.2.0.QFGINXM and 11.0.4.0.QFGMIXM have been facing the Camera app not responding and force closing problems.
It has been mentioned that this case has been submitted to Qualcomm which indicates that the issue might be hardware related.
However, this is still based on our speculation as specific details are not provided in the weekly bug report.
Poco X3 users are affected by the Discord app freezing issue which is present on MIUI 12 versions 12.0.3.0.QJGEUXM, 12.0.3.0.QJGMIXM, 12.0.2.0.QJGINXM, 12.0.2.0.QJGEUXM, and 12.0.2.0.QJGMIXM.
It seems that this issue might get addressed in the near future as the bug fix has been merged with the Dev (Developer) build.
No specific date has been provided in the weekly bug report so it is still unclear how long will it take for the bug fix to arrive.
Moreover, the OEM is apparently working on a new MIUI 12 lite build for the Redmi 6 Pro because of system lag which has been reported by users running MIUI 12 version 12.0.2.0.PDMMIXM.
It is good to see that Xiaomi is making some useful details public while also allowing users to share feedback regarding any existing or new bugs that they face on MIUI 12.
That said, we will keep tracking the development of MIUI 12 so stay tuned. Also, you can check out our MIUI 12 bug tracker to get the updates on the topic.
