The development of MIUI 12 has been on for quite some time and we have already seen many improvements since the latest custom skin first came out.
Also, there were reports that the future MIUI builds might bring along custom Super Wallpapers, blood tests via Mi Health, and more.
However, users are currently facing an issue with the Mi Health app on their MIUI 12-powered devices.
There are multiple reports on the Mi Community which clearly indicate that the pre-installed Mi Health app is missing on MIUI 12 running devices.
Basically, the app neither shows up in the app drawer nor on the home screen but is present under the Manage Apps section under Settings.
From the look of it, many users are affected because of this issue as they are unable to use the app in question to keep track of their health and fitness.
The MIUI 12 update brought some new features to the Mi Health app. A later update also added Heart rate detection feature to the app.
Now, users are highly anxious as the app is not accessible even though it is pre-installed on the system.
A member of the Feedback Team in Mi Community forum has shed some light on the matter by responding to a user’s query about getting the Mi Health app.
The guy has clearly stated that the app comes pre-installed on MIUI 12 but the region needs to be changed in order to use it.
Basically, users will have to change the region on their devices to Spain, Indonesia, or India to get access to the Mi Health app.
Please note that Health app is pre-installed on the system of the MIUI 12 but you willl need to change the region to India or Indonesia or Spain to use it.
Nevertheless, the Feedback Team member has not mentioned why the app is not showing up on devices across all regions or whether it is a bug that will be addressed in the future.
That said, the only workaround for the time being remains switching to one of the aforementioned regions.
We will keep tracking this for further development and will provide more details once new information becomes available.
