The OnePlus 8 series of devices represent the company’s latest attempts at taking over the high-end market segment of the smartphone industry.
These devices offer so much value for money, even though they aren’t as competitively priced as we’ve come to expect from OnePlus.
The devices came with Android 10 out of the box with OnePlus’ own OxygenOS 10 running the show.
Since then, we’ve seen the OnePlus 8 series of devices bag the much awaited update to Android 11-based OxygenOS 11. More on that here.
As expected, we know that no piece of software is perfect and the OnePlus 8 is not an exception. A bunch of issues have been reported surrounding these devices.
Today, we highlight yet another issue that’s been afflicting users of the OnePlus 8.
According to a section of users, the OnePlus 8’s screen shakes when a touch input is applied. This makes touch-sensitive tasks like playing games a little compromised.

This bug has been noticed by users running both Android 10-based OxygenOS 10 and those running OxygenOS 11 on their OnePlus 8 devices.
This, therefore, means that this OnePlus 8 screen shaking issue might not have been caused by the update to Android 11, which makes this even more frustrating.
This issue is reportedly amplified when playing games on the affected devices. This has since been brought to the attention of OnePlus.
When notified by a OnePlus 8 user on the screen shaking issue afflicting the device, a OnePlus Staff member acknowledges the issue, saying the developer team is working on it.
We have made a note of this and our developer team is currently working on this. We will keep you posted regarding further updates. We appreciate your support and patience in this regard.

Seeing as OnePlus is no longer working on an Android 10 based firmware for the OnePlus 8, chances are that this issue will be addressed in an upcoming Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 update.
We shall be on hand to update as and when we get more info surrounding this issue so stay tuned.
