With MIUI 12, Xiaomi has brought a lot of improvements to its in-house custom skin which, along with the supposed MIUI 13, is still in development.

While there are many speculations about the MIUI 13 update, nothing much can be considered as certain for the time being.

Now, it seems that the OEM might shed some light on what all can be expected from the next MIUI iteration.

Xiaomi is going to hold its Mi Developer Conference (MIDC) from November 5 to November 7 and speculations are rife that MIUI 13 is going to be unveiled at the event.

However, it is unclear what all will be showcased at the MIDC event as the OEM has not provided any details on the matter yet.

Xiaomi conducted a survey for the development of MIUI 13 way back in April after which a fake MIUI 13 app also surfaced on Google Play Store.

After a while, a new power menu, supposedly from the next MIUI iteration, surfaced which was also declared as fake by the OEM itself.

However, the Mi Engineer Face to Face Q&A held in September cleared the air on what was being officially considered for the MIUI 13 update.

It was stated by Xiaomi engineers that the focus will be on animation optimization while custom Super Wallpapers and more features might also be added.

The MIUI 13 AI call recording feature also came to light but the OEM has not made any comments on the matter which further leads us to speculate that it might just be another hoax.

We also speculated that the next MIUI version might be unveiled either next year or late this year while it was later officially indicated that the said update might not be revealed anytime soon.

Nevertheless, the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Developer Conference event might shed more light on the MIUI 13 update but this is also based on speculations, hence, nothing is confirmed as of now.

That said, we will keep tracking this for further development and will provide updates once more information becomes available.

In the meantime, you can check out our MIUI 13 update tracker to get the latest updates and the list of devices that we think might be eligible to get the next version of MIUI.
