Xiaomi is still struggling to deliver the MIUI 12 update to its remaining devices and among them, the Redmi Note 8.

While the latest custom skin came out for the Redmi Note 8 back in July, it was only meant for beta testers in China.

Now, it seems that users of the global Redmi Note 8 variant are finally getting the MIUI 12 update along with the September security patch.

The update version 12.0.1.0.QCOMIXM is finally available over the air for the global Redmi Note 8 units after months of waiting.

However, those who want to go for manual installation can use the download link given below. Also, be sure to check out these workarounds in case you come across any errors while installing the update manually.

The latest custom skin was earlier said to be out for the Redmi Note 8 but it was released in batches as per Xiaomi support.

However, there were no user reports to corroborate this while a Mi Community moderator later stated that the update might take a month to roll out.

Moreover, the global Redmi Note 8 users were asked to check for the update in a few weeks time by another Mi Community super moderator.

This Redmi Note 8 update rollout definitely surprised users who might not have been expecting the latest custom skin based on all the aforementioned details.

While the wait has finally come to an end for the Redmi Note 8, there are still several devices that are awaiting MIUI 12.

Nevertheless, we hope Xiaomi delivers the latest custom skin to all remaining devices soon as it has been over six months since MIUI 12 came out.
