Xiaomi has been constantly developing MIUI 12 and new features keep on arriving with incremental and beta updates.
Apart from that, Xiaomi is proactively seeking user feedback as to how the latest custom skin can be improved further.
Now, the OEM is conducting a poll in the Mi Community about various features requested by Mi Fans to be added to the custom skin.
The new features include Fingerprint sensor to activate sleep mode, video encoding, more features in Xiaomi Health app, and Super Bluetooth.
Xiaomi has shortlisted these four new features from user feedback and the poll result will determine which of these will be sent to MIUI developers.
It must be noted that these features are currently not confirmed to be coming in future MIUI 12 or the supposed MIUI 13 builds as this is merely a poll between the requested features.
Also, a single user can vote for two features which means that two out of four features might indeed make it to the MIUI development team.
Moreover, the poll clearly outlines that developers will try to incorporate these suggestions in MIUI but the final decision still lies with the development team.
Important: Developers will try their best to implement the suggestions. However, the final decision to implement the suggestions depends upon the developer team’s decision
So, it is unclear which of these features will make it to future MIUI builds while it is also possible that none of them get considered to be added.
All this is based on our speculation and the wait is still on until the poll ends and the OEM makes an official announcement on the matter.
Nevertheless, Xiaomi has been hard at work and the introduction of new features in MIUI 12 is indeed a possibility considering its development is still on.
That said, we will keep tracking this and will provide updates once new information becomes available.
