Android is an open source platform which is why OEMs design their custom skins on top of it. Among them, the latest custom skin from Xiaomi i.e., MIUI 12.

While MIUI 12 offers many features already, Xiaomi has been constantly working to refine the latest MIUI iteration.

Now, it seems that a new feature might come either in future MIUI 12 builds or its next iteration currently being dubbed as MIUI 13.

MIUI 12 users have been requesting for the customizable Vibration Intensity feature to be added to the custom skin while the OEM has also addressed user requests.

It is a highly desired feature and now a moderator has suggested that future MIUI builds might include customizable vibration patterns and strength.

However, the moderator has also suggested that the feature might not be made available in MIUI 12 but the OEM might make it native to MIUI in general.

This leads us to speculate that the customizable Vibration Intensity feature might also arrive with the MIUI 13 update.

Moreover, it is still unclear which Xiaomi devices will be eligible to receive this feature as part of future MIUI updates.

the feature is supposed to come in future updates, but we don’t know if it would be available in MIUI 12 update or not. Since this feature request is not just for Note 9 series, they’d probably implement this in whole MIUI itself, and there are chances it would be supported soon. But new features need to be tested before implementing, so it might take some time. Stay tuned.

This is simply due to the fact that the ability to tweak vibration intensity arrived with Android 10 and custom skins like Realme UI already have this feature.

Since this feature is only available on Realme devices with a Tactile Engine Motor, it is hard to say which Xiaomi devices are going to get it.

Nevertheless, the moderator’s comment clearly suggests that Xiaomi is indeed inclined towards adding the customizable Vibration Intensity feature which is good news for Mi Fans.
