Xiaomi MIUI 24-hour battery usage stats issue could be fixed soon

Xiaomi’s MIUI is a popular custom skin which offers an enhanced user experience in terms of features as well as usability.

While the OEM has been quite busy with the MIUI 12 update this year, many peculiar issues have been surfacing with Xiaomi’s in-house custom skin.

Users have been taking to the Mi Community to report about a supposed issue with the MIUI battery usage stats.

As per the reports, MIUI users can only see battery usage stats for last 24 hours after they updated the MIUI Security app to version 4.2.6.

Also, someone has stated that even the last version of the MIUI Security app, i.e., 4.2.5, had this problem.

Users are finding it hard to keep tabs on battery usage stats as most devices nowadays have a battery life of up to two days.

A Mi Community moderator has also corroborated this while also stating that a future update might fix this problem since many users have been reporting about it.

However, it is unclear whether this change to the battery usage stats was made on purpose or a bug is resetting the stats.

This new updated battery stats version (updated along with Security app) doesn’t provide you data like the previous ones. It resets the graph making the data available for only 24 hours. It’s surely a bad interpretation of data as many devices now have two day battery life, but no way to check it properly. It’s already been reported by many. Hopefully will get an update to fix it soon.

Users have even started a poll on the Mi Community to either restore the MIUI Security app to the previous version or add an option for customizable interval.

While the reports clearly indicate that the issue is present on MIUI 11, a Poco X3 user has also reported about the battery usage stats app being faulty.

Since there are no comments on the Poco X3 thread yet, it is unclear whether it is due to the 24-hour battery usage stats issue. It is also unclear if the issue is also present on MIUI 12 or not.

Nevertheless, the Mi Community moderator has already asked users to wait for the next MIUI Security app update which suggests that the problem might get addressed.
