ColorOS isn’t usually loved by Android enthusiasts due to the fact that it deviates plenty from the stock Android UI. But all this is set to change with the upcoming ColorOS 11 update which brings along with it numerous changes.

The main highlight of the ColorOS 11 update is the plethora of customization that it offers which range from various accent colors, new fonts, DIY wallpapers to even 3 types of dark mode themes.

For the stock Android lovers, Oppo is even offering a lot more ‘stock’ options too. For example, you can now stick with Google’s Material icons and use the Roboto font just like on the Pixels.

Oppo makes its stance clear with this move that their main target is the youth and that they value feedback.

The OEM announced the ColorOS 11 (Android 11) beta update for Oppo Reno3, Oppo Reno3 Pro, Oppo Reno4 5G, and Oppo F17 Pro on September 30.

If you are one of the people who could not sign up, then you will have to wait a while longer because their beta programmes for OPPO Reno3 Pro and OPPO F17 Pro are currently full:

As we can see from the above tweet, Oppo did mention that only the ‘first batch’ is currently full which implies that there might be future batches.

It is possible that this is also true for other devices that got the ColorOS 11 beta like the Oppo Reno3 and Oppo Reno4 5G which too are not accepting any new beta sign-ups as of now.

While Oppo does suggest that there are upcoming batches like it happened previously with ColorOS 7, no date has been announced for them as of now. Eager users will have to wait a while longer, fingers crossed.

That being said, we will keep tracking this topic for further developments and will provide more information when it becomes available.

Moreover, if you have registered for the closed beta update and have received it already, then feel free to drop a comment below.
