This is the final quarter of 2020 and Android 11 is already out but the likes of LG are still struggling to deliver the Android 10 update.

The OEM shared a software update plan for LG G8S ThinQ, LG G7 ThinQ, and LG V40 ThinQ and some these devices are still awaiting the Android 10 update.

Also, there was a partial Android 10 rollout for LG V40 ThinQ in India and a wider rollout was expected to start from October 7.

However, there are no reports of the rollout going live yet but users have shared some information about an Android 9 Pie-based security update for LG V40 ThinQ.

While LG should have released the Android 10 update for its eligible devices by now, users are still getting nothing more than basic security updates.

This is a tad disappointing as LG has not held on to its promises and keeps on delaying major software updates.

Users of LG V40 ThinQ and LG G8 ThinQ are now getting restless as they have been waiting for the Android 10 update for quite some time.

LG has recently shared a new software update plan for the fourth quarter of 2020 along with a list of eligible devices but it is unclear how the OEM is planning to proceed with it.

LG is not known for providing timely updates and such delays are further damaging the OEM’s reputation especially when other vendors are way ahead in the game.

Nevertheless, recent reports also suggest that LG might have already started working on the Android 11 update for LG V60 ThinQ.

It must be noted that LG G8 ThinQ is also eligible for Android 11 but things do not look good especially when the Android 10 update status is taken into consideration.
