New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on October 06, 2020) follows:

Samsung is getting the One UI 3.0 (Android 11) update ready as the beta development for the same has been on since early August.

It was recently reported that the One UI 3.0 (Android 11) public beta is about ready for several Samsung Galaxy Note and Galaxy S series devices.

Now, it seems that those reports might be true and the public beta should start rolling out either this week or by Tuesday next week.

The new information comes from a Samsung Community member who has posted what looks like an announcement for beta testers from the One UI Beta Program Operation Team.

The post clearly indicates that the One UI 3.0 (Android 11) public beta 1 is ready to roll out as version ZTJ3.

Also, the original poster has stated that the update will bring along the October security patch along with a lot of changes.

We also reported pretty recently that Samsung might soon update the official One UI page with the details of the upcoming custom skin and OS update.

However, that is yet transpire as no official announcements regarding the One UI 3.0 website going live have been made by the OEM yet.

Similarly, while the new information about the One UI 3.0 (Android 11) public beta 1 build appears to be credible, it should still be taken with a pinch of salt.

Moreover, it is unclear which devices will get the public beta build but it seems highly likely that the update will roll out to the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 series devices first.

This is simply because these are the latest flagship devices from the OEM and also among the first devices for which Samsung started the Android 11 (One UI 3.0) development.

Apart from that, Samsung is also providing preparatory app updates before the public release of the latest update. More on that here.

All this development clearly indicates that Samsung is indeed gearing up to release the One UI 3.0 (Android 11) update in the near future but of course, that is subject to change.

That said, we will keep tracking this for further development and will provide updates once more information becomes available.
