New updates are being added at the bottom of this storyβ¦β¦.
Original story (published on October 05, 2020) follows:
Our smartphone displays are perhaps the most important aspects. This, because it is the primary interface between us and the features we use on the devices.
It, therefore, makes sense that the devices pack great displays. In the past year or so, we’ve seen devices with higher-refresh-rate displays and this only goes to ensure a seamless experience.
But that’s not the only way to ensure a good experience. Oppo debuted what it calls the Quantum Animation Engine with the launch of Realme UI for ‘great screen fluency’.
And the demos proved that indeed, the Quantum Animation Engine offered a smoother experience to users of supported devices like the Realme X50.
Well, a new Android version is upon us and with that, Oppo is working on a new skin, ColorOS 11.
The company now says that this upcoming Android 11-based custom skin will spot its updated engine dubbed Quantum Animation Engine 2.0.
In a Tweet posted by ColorOS’ Global handle, a short demo video is shown, comparing the original Quantum Animation Engine and the upcoming Quantum Animation Engine 2.0.
The difference appears perceivable but since this is a promo video, you might want to take this with a pinch of salt, at least until we see the new feature in action when ColorOS 11 debuts.
Speaking of, Oppo is making great strides in the development of its upcoming Android 11-based custom skin. So far, we’ve seen Beta builds for Oppo Reno3, Reno3 Pro, Reno4 5G, and the Oppo F17 Pro among others.
We’ve also covered some of the features we expect to see in the upcoming skin. Please note that this is a pretty early build and as such, many of these features might be different or missing from the stable release.
