3 months on, Poco X2 Android 11 update release promise remains unfulfilled

Xiaomi Poco X2 came out in February with Android 10 out-of-the-box but the Android 11 update was also confirmed for it in the same month.

Xiaomi announced back in July that the Android 11 update for the Poco X2 was coming soon but it has been three months and the wait is still on.

While it is unclear how the OEM is proceeding with the development of the Poco X2, some Xiaomi devices have already received the Android 11 update.

An announcement post from September suggested that the Android 11-based MIUI 12 update for the Chinese Poco X2 variant, Xiaomi Redmi K30, might be under internal testing.

Also, it was recently reported that the Mi 10 and Redmi K30 Pro, globally known as Poco F2 Pro, got the Android 11 update in China while the global Mi 10 Pro variant has also bagged the same already.

It has been three months since the OEM announced the imminent arrival of Android 11 for the device in question but not much development has come to light ever since.

It must be noted that a similar announcement was made for the Poco F2 Pro in June but the Android 11 beta update recruitment started in September.

However, the Poco F2 Pro is yet to receive the Android 11 beta update while its Chinese counterpart, the Redmi K30 Pro, has even received the stable version of the latest OS.

Taking all of that into consideration, the Poco F2 Pro should receive at least the beta version while beta recruitment should start for the Poco X2 soon.

Nevertheless, this is still based on our speculation as the OEM has not made any official announcements on the matter yet.
