NOTICE: We’ve have created a dedicated tracker for the release of MIUI 13, and will be updating it continuously with details regarding Xiaomi’s upcoming skin. Check it out here.
Xiaomi has practically rolled out the MIUI 12 update for more than two-thirds of all eligible devices and thus can begin focusing on the MIUI 13 update.
But given that the MIUI 12 rollout is still underway, details of Xiaomi’s next big skin over Android are scarce. Further, the company is at present also rolling out the Android 11 update for eligible devices.
Speaking of which, the Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, and the Redmi K30 Pro (Poco F2 Pro) bagged the stable Android 11 update yesterday (October 01).
That said, MIUI 13 is still far off since MIUI 12 was announced in April and Xiaomi releases major MIUI version updates on an annual basis. Although, the month often varies. To know more regarding the release date, head here.
Nevertheless, we have previously touched on a few details regarding MIUI 13 such as the possibility that it may bring custom Super Wallpapers, make use of eye-tracking, and more.
Adding to that, a recent Q&A posted on the Mi Community also revealed that Xiaomi may focus on improving animations with the upcoming MIUI version. Of course, we expect to see a boatload of new changes.
But the more interesting part in all this is figuring out which Xiaomi smartphones will be eligible for the MIUI 13 update. Thus, we’ve created a list of devices that may be eligible for the update to MIUI 13.
Xiaomi devices eligible for MIUI 13
Since Xiaomi does not specify which devices will get any number of major updates, it’s a bit tricky to predict which smartphone will get an upcoming MIUI version.
So we’re taking into account past trends and update cycles and have managed to gather some details. For starters, the company rolls out at least 2 MIUI version updates for just about every device they release.
At times, certain models get 3 MIUI updates such as the Pocophone F1/Poco F1 which released with MIUI 9 onboard and has now picked up MIUI 12. And based on these details, we’ve listed several Xiaomi phones that might get MIUI 13 at some point next year.
Xiaomi ‘Mi’ series:
Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro Xiaomi Mi 10T Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth 5G

Redmi 9A Redmi 9C Redmi Note 9 Pro Redmi Note 9 Redmi Note 9S
Redmi Note 9 Pro Max Redmi 9 Redmi Note 8 Redmi Note 8T Redmi Note 8 Pro
Poco:
Poco X3 Poco X3 NFC Poco M2 Pro Poco M2 Poco F2 Pro Poco X2
These are the devices that may bag the MIUI 13 update. Needless to say, this is an unofficial list. Therefore, there are chances that certain devices listed here may not get the update.
While it’s highly likely that all Xiaomi phones that released with MIUI 11 will get MIUI 13, the same cannot be said for devices that launched with MIUI 10 onboard such as the Mi 9 series.
As for older flagships such as the Mi 8 series, it’s unlikely that Xiaomi will update them with MIUI 13. And while Blackshark users won’t get MIUI 13 directly, they may get a few standalone features from it via a JoyUI update.
So at present, we’d suggest taking the information with a grain of salt until we get our hands on some official details from Xiaomi regarding the eligible devices for MIUI 13.
NOTICE: We’ve prepared an Android 11 tracker for Mi, Redmi and Poco devices that are getting the update, and its being continuously updated with new entries.
