Xiaomi’s latest custom skin, MIUI 12, is out for a lot of devices while more devices are expected to get it by October-end.
MIUI 12 includes many handy features like Super Wallpapers, Super Document, Control Center, Frame Rate Monitor Tool, universal casting tool, and Virtual Identity.
Apart from these features, MIUI 12 is highly customizable in terms of effects and animations which is why it is being received very well by Mi fans.
While MIUI 12 includes non-linear animations for smoother transition effects, the default speed of these animations is a bit slower.
Moreover, all these enhancements also make the latest custom skin resource heavy which can further impact the performance of devices.
So, let’s take a look at how the overall UI can be made smoother and faster by tweaking some device settings.
First of all, enable the Developer Options by heading over to the About Phone section and tapping on MIUI version three times.
Now, go to Additional Settings and select Developer Options under which three animation level values are to be tweaked as follows:
Window animation level: 0.5X
Animation level of transitions: 0.5X
Animation Duration Level: 0.5X
Once done, head over to the Battery and Performance settings and tap on the gear icon on the top right corner.
Set the Clear the cache when the device is locked value to Every 30 minutes and that’s about it.
Doing so will make the animations flow smoother and faster without compromising the performance of the device.
Also, these tweaks will help conserve resources which will further improve the overall UI performance of your MIUI 12 powered device.
MIUI 12 is so far the most sophisticated custom skin offered by Xiaomi and it is not for nothing that users are highly inclined towards it.
That said, we will provide more updates about the development of MIUI 12 once new information becomes available.
