Original story (published on August 04, 2020) follows:
Samsung first unveiled the Galaxy Tab S5e back in April 2020. This 10.5″ tablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 chip and spots 4/6GB of RAM and a massive 7040mAh battery.
The tablet is available in two variants, a Wi-Fi-only model and an LTE version. Both models came with Android 9 Pie out of the box with Samsung’s One UI on top.
The device has been pretty well-updated through its life and Samsung is in the process of rolling out Android 10 to it. Already, we have seen the European and Asian versions of the same get updated to Android 10-based One UI 2.
The same has also been reported in China, India, Serbia, and the Netherlands, and today, Samsung is rolling out Android 10-based One UI 2 to the Wi-FI Only Galaxy Tab S5e in the US and Canada.
Android 10 for the US and Canada Galaxy Tab S5e
The update which has already been listed on Samsung’s unofficial software tracker, Samfrew indicates that indeed, these builds are based on Android 10 and as such, bring Samsung’s One UI 2 to these devices.
The updates can be identified by their software version numbers XAR-T720XXU1BTG3 and XAC-T720XXU1BTG3 for the US and Canada versions respectively.
The update weighs in at a little over 2GB and comes with the June security patch.
As always, this is an OTA update and as such, should hit eligible devices in the coming days and weeks as Samsung rolls it out in batches. You should, therefore, check for updates on your device regularly.
