This story is being continuously updated…. New updates are being added at the bottom…..
Original story (published on September 21) follows:
Realme UI 2.0 (Android 11) beta update was recently released for Realme X50 Pro and we also saw some of the major changes in the upcoming custom skin.
After some time, the OEM acknowledged several issues with the third-party apps while also addressing the feature requests on the Realme community.
It was reported a few days ago that the OEM will launch Realme UI 2.0 (Android 11) on September 21 and Realme has held on to its promise.
It has been announced at the Narzo 20 series launch event that Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 should start rolling out to the Early Access program members from September 24.
Moreover, the OEM was also expected to present a roadmap for Realme devices that will get the Realme UI 2.0 (Android 11) update in the future.
Now, it seems that the roadmap reveal was indeed planned by the OEM but it was cut from the event coverage due to unknown reasons.
However, users have captured the screenshot of the roadmap from the event footage and are already sharing the info on online platforms like Twitter.
As per the shared screenshot, it seems that the Realme UI 2.0 update will be available for the Realme X50 Pro, Realme X2 Pro, Realme 7, Realme 7 Pro, Realme 6 Pro, Realme Narzo 20, and Realme Narzo 20 Pro from September.
Also, the Realme X3, Realme X3 SuperZoom, Realme X2, Realme 6, Realme 6i, Realme Narzo 10, Realme Narzo 10A, Realme C12, Realme C15, and Realme C3 will start getting Realme UI 2.0 from Q1 2021.
Furthermore, the Realme X, Realme XT, Realme 5 Pro, Realme 3 Pro, and Realme Narzo 20A will get the Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 by the second quarter of 2021.
It must be noted that this roadmap was not shown at the event, hence, the information cannot be considered as official.
This is simply due to the fact that the OEM might not have revealed the roadmap at the Narzo 20 series launch event as it might be subject to change.
Nevertheless, the roadmap does appear to be legit as it resembles the previous update roadmaps shared by Realme.
Another thing to note is that the roadmap is for Early Access program members which means not all users will get the Realme UI 2.0 update as per the timeline mentioned in the roadmap.
The Realme UI 2.0 update has a lot to offer to users in terms of user experience but it is unclear when a wider rollout will begin.
It is still highly efficient of Realme to have developed such a great software this early as Android 11 has released pretty recently.
Realme’s parent company, Oppo, has also revealed its in-house custom skin, ColorOS 11. Head over here for more details.
Hopefully, more OEMs strive to deliver the latest software updates quickly while not compromising on the quality at the same time.
That said, we will keep tracking this for further development and will provide updates when more information becomes available from official sources.
Meanwhile, you can check out the list of devices from Realme that we think will get the Realme UI 2.0 update.
Also, you can go through our Realme UI 2.0 (Android 11) update tracker to stay updated on the topic.
We have also curated a consolidated Android 11 update tracker for all major OEMs and carriers so you can have a look at that as well.
