Sprint is now a part of T-Mobile but it is still considered among the top network service providers in the US. A lot of Sprint subscribers use the carrier-locked Samsung Galaxy devices but it seems that some network issues are spoiling things for them.
Multiple users have been reporting that they are not getting the LTE services and their Sprint Samsung Galaxy devices are stuck on 3G network. The affected devices include the Sprint Samsung Galaxy A11, Note 10, Note 10+, Note 8, Note 9, S10, S10+, S10e, S8, S8 Active, S8+, S9, S9+, and Z-Flip.
The network service provider has addressed this issue on the Sprint community stating that a software update will permanently fix the issue in the near future. Also, a workaround is also provided to fix the issue manually.
An upcoming software release will address this permanently.
Users can fix the “stuck on 3G network” issue or their VoLTE enabled devices by enabling VoLTE and completing an SCRTN (Special Code To Reset the Network) by dialing ##SCRTN# from the phone dialer. For Non-VoLTE devices, users can power cycle their devices and perform the SCRTN.
Similarly, some Sprint Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 users are experiencing an issue where their device does not recognize the network at random. For the “No Service” issue, a software update will be provided in the near future to fix it on the Sprint Galaxy Tab S4.
Expect a software update to permanently address the behavior in the near future.
Also, a temporary workaround is to power cycle the tablet or complete the SCRTN by opening the Calculator app, enter +30012012732+, and then type ##SCRTN#. While this is just a temporary fix, the network service provider has assured that an update will fix the issues once and for all.
That said, we hope Sprint soon provides the required update to address these issues on its Samsung Galaxy devices and Tab S4. Meanwhile, you can check out our dedicated Samsung section for more such stories.
