The second round of MIUI 12 update rollout schedule is live. The Redmi Note 9 was also in the second round and several of its variants have received the latest custom skin. Among them, the Global, European, and Indian Redmi Note 9 variants.
It was reported earlier that the Xiaomi Redmi 10X 4G, which is the Chinese Redmi Note 9 variant, got the MIUI 12 update back in June. However, the update was pulled and re-released after a month due to reasons unknown.
Similarly, the MIUI 12 update was re-released for the Global Redmi Note 9 variant back in August. Now, recent reports suggest that users have been facing performance issues after updating their Redmi Note 9 with MIUI 12.
Many users are affected by these performance issues as they are affecting the daily usage of the device in question. While the OEM has not officially acknowledged the issues yet, there is some development on the Mi community forums.
A Mi community moderator has responded to one of the affected user’s query stating that these issues are constantly being reported and worked upon. This means that the Redmi Note 9 software development team is already working on fixing the performance issues.
We are aware of the issues in Redmi Note 9 and they are being reported.
While it is unclear when the issues are going to be fixed, users can relax a bit as they are at least being taken care of. That said, we will keep tab on this story and will provide updates as and when more information becomes available.
Meanwhile, you can check out our MIUI 12 update tracker if your Xiaomi device is yet to bag the latest custom skin.
