The Redmi Note 7 Pro bagged the Android 10 update a couple of months ago in China. But Xiaomi did not release Android 10 for the device outside of its home country for more than a month.
Therefore, Redmi Note 7 Pro users in India have been waiting patiently for Xiaomi to begin rolling out the update. FYI, the Redmi Note 7 Pro released with Android 9 Pie onboard. Further, it’s yet to get the stable MIUI 12 skin in India.
On August 28, we reported that Xiaomi had begun rolling out the stable Android 10 update for the Redmi Note 7 Pro in India. But as it turned out, it was only available for a limited number of users at the time according to a Mi forum moderator.
Well, it now appears that Xiaomi is confident with the stability of the Android 10 build for the device. This is because many users have begun reporting that they are now receiving a new OTA update which brings Android 10.

The update is rolling out with the same software version as before, i.e., V11.0.2.0.QFHINXM and is available over-the-air with a download size of 2.0GB. Judging by the number of reports, we believe that Xiaomi has initiated a wider rollout.
And now that the wider rollout has begun, you should receive the update on your device soon if you haven’t already. However, in case you do not wish to wait, you can manually download Android 10 for the device via the link below:
- Device: Redmi Note 7 Pro
- Codename: violet

Unfortunately, there are still no signs of Xiaomi’s stable MIUI 12 skin for the device. Therefore, Redmi Note 7 Pro users will have to continue waiting for MIUI 12 to be released. So make sure to keep an eye out on our dedicated tracker for the rollout of the same.
