New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on August 14, 2020) follows:

Xiaomi has upgraded many devices to Android 10 but the update is still being rolled out to eligible devices. Also, users are eagerly waiting for the MIUI 12 update as the latest custom UI is already out for a bunch of Xiaomi devices.

The Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A are expected to get the MIUI 12 update but the OEM is still providing OS updates to both devices. It was reported earlier that the Chinese, Global, and European variants of the Redmi 8 were upgraded to Android 10.

Xiaomi Redmi 8A received the OS update in China and after some time its global variant also picked up Android 10. However, there are still some variants of the Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A that are being upgraded now.
