With many smartphone vendors enabling Anti-Rollback features on many of their devices, any attempts to downgrade the software on your smartphone could end in premium tears as you are likely to brick your device.
Luckily, there is a smartphone vendor that is determined to go against the grain, allowing users to roll back their devices and downgrade to Android 9 Pie from Android 10. Realme has, in the past few months, released rollback tutorials and packages for a number of its devices.
We have seen Realme release the Android 9 Pie rollback packages for the Realme 3 and 3i, Realme X and X2, Realme X2 Pro, just to mention but a few.
Today, Realme is extending the same option to downgrade from Realme UI to Android 9 Pie to two more devices in its portfolio, the Realme 3 Pro and the Realme XT.
Just like the other downgrade tutorials, there are a few things to keep in mind before taking the bold move to downgrade your device.
1. After the rollback, ALL OF YOUR DATA WILL BE ERASED! Please make sure to backup before you proceed.
2. Rollback operation may be problematic and might have unforeseeable effects on your phone.
3. Rollback operation will modify some of the system functions, and prevent you from receiving the latest realme UI update.
4. As such, if you want to experience the Realme UI version(Based on Android 10) after rollback, you have to manually download the full realme UI version package from the official website to update.

5. Most importantly, this package is released and available for Indian users only.
You will then need to ensure that you have at least 60% of battery left on your device and that your device runs on the latest software version. This is important because the rollback process only works on software version C.06 and newer on the Realme 3 Pro and version C.05 and newer for the Realme XT.
To proceed, you will then need to download the downgrade packages for your device. Below are the respective download links.
- Device: Realme 3 Pro

- Channel: India Stable
- Version: RMX1851EX_11_OTA_2010

- Version: RMX1921EX_11_OTA_2010

After downloading your device’s appropriate file, you then need to move it to your internal storage. If you downloaded this file on your phone, you’re all set.
You then need to open the File Manager app, navigate to and click on the rollback package. Select ‘Upgrade Now’ if you decide to roll back and that’s it. Let your device do it’s thing.
Realme also states in the release notes that you’ll be stuck with the same security patch and you won’t receive any newer patches until you reinstall Android 10-based Realme UI.
