Oppo Reno4 Pro Quick Return Bubble & 180Hz Touch Sampling Rate supported in PUBG Mobile/Lite, Mobile Legends & AOV

The latest phone to be added to Oppo’s Reno series is the Oppo Reno4 Pro. The Oppo Reno4 Pro launched in India towards the tail end of July and brings along the ColorOS 7.2 skin. This new skin over Android 10 brings a boatload of new features and improvements that you can check out here.

Since ColorOS 7.2 debuted alongside the Reno4 series, it hasn’t yet rolled out for other Oppo smartphones. Further, Oppo has not yet shared many details surrounding the release of ColorOS 7.2. So we may just have to sit back and wait for more details regarding the update.

Nevertheless, while the Oppo Reno4 Pro isn’t necessarily targeted towards gamers, it brings a few features that will enhance the gaming experience. For starters, the device supports a touch sampling rate of up to 180Hz. What this basically means is that the device registers input a lot quicker than normal.

While casual users won’t find this feature beneficial, competitive mobile gamers will reap the benefits it has to offer. However, the 180Hz touch sampling rate does not kick into action at all times. The footnotes on Oppo’s official page for the Oppo Reno4 Pro offer some insights into the feature.

Apparently games such as PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends, and AOV (not supported in India) support the 180Hz touch sampling rate. However, all other games only support 120Hz touch sampling. Therefore, if you were looking for a competitive advantage on other titles, you won’t have any luck here.

Further, the Quick Return Bubble now supports PUBG Mobile, PUBG Lite, Mobile Legends, and AOV (not supported in India). Thus, users can switch back to either of the supported games from other apps with a quick tap. This feature comes in handy when using chat applications while playing.

This feature is currently supported in India, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand. That being said, the Oppo Reno4 Pro’s Snapdragon 720G SoC isn’t really the best when it comes to hardcore gaming. But if you do decide to game on the device, these features should help improve the experience.
