New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on August 06, 2020) follows:
LG has provided many of its eligible devices with the Android 10-based LG UX 9.0 update. The custom UI from LG offers a lot of features that are similar to Samsung’s One UI. However, the OEM will be providing some of its devices with the LG Velvet UI on top of Android 10.
We reported earlier that LG Velvet UI will come to LG V50 ThinQ, LG V50S ThinQ, LG V40 ThinQ, LG V35 ThinQ, LG G8 ThinQ, and LG G7 ThinQ. The Velvet UI offers some handy features like call recording, screen recording, notification bar point color setting, and more.
T-Mobile users can now grab the system apps from LG Velvet for their LG G7 ThinQ. However, the system APKs have to be installed manually which means this is not an official update. Also, there are some APKs that are untested and some are not recommended so be sure to install accordingly.
Since these are just system apps and the OEM has already promised the LG Velvet UI for the G7 ThinQ, it is advisable to wait for an official update. Nevertheless, if you like to play around with smartphones, you can get these apps from the download link given below.

Also, T-Mobile LG G7 ThinQ received the Android 10-based LG UX 9.0 update back in May. Check out the full story here. While the OEM is still updating its devices with Android 10, we hope the LG Velvet UI releases soon for LG G7 ThinQ.
Meanwhile, you can have a look at our LG Android 10 update tracker to stay updated on the topic.
