The OnePlus Nord is currently one of the most talked-about smartphones even though it’s considered to be a mid-range phone. It bagged its first software update in India even before the device went up for sale.

Apparently, the update was released to improve the camera performance of the phone. Not much later, OnePlus released another update as OxygenOS 10.5.2 which brought a bunch of other improvements and optimizations along with the July security patch.

And it now seems as though the company isn’t taking a break at all. This is because OnePlus has announced the incremental rollout of a new software update. The update comes as OxygenOS 10.5.3 for the OnePlus Nord and is available in India, North America, and Europe.

However, unlike previous software updates for the device, this time around the company has not included any new features or major improvements. The update only improves the system stability as mentioned in the changelog that you can see below:

As we mentioned above, this is only an incremental rollout. Thus, the OxygenOS 10.5.3 update may take a while before it arrives on your OnePlus Nord. Nonetheless, the device is also due for an update to bring dual 5G + 4G support.

Further, while it’s already considered to be the best mid-range device by most, the Nord is still far from a perfect phone. Much like the OnePlus 8 series, the OnePlus Nord also suffers from screen tint and black crush issues. Although, this has been put down to the characteristics of OLED panels.

Nevertheless, the OnePlus Nord is set to receive the Android 11 update along with a few other OnePlus devices. You can check out our OnePlus Android 11 update tracker to know when it arrives on your device.
