New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on August 03, 2020) follows:
The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 is expected to officially launch on August 5. It is presumed that the device will come with Samsung’s next version of One UI, One UI 2.5 out of the box.
Already, we have seen countless reports on this new Samsung skin and we have an idea of what Samsung devices are in line for an update to this new skin.
One such device that is in line for an update to One UI 2.5 is the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 from 2019. This device launched with Android 9 Pie out of the box but has since been updated to run Android 10-based One UI 2.1.
New reports now indicate that Samsung is already working on Android 10-based One UI 2.5 for the Galaxy Note 10 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e. According to reports on Weibo, testing of One UI 2.5 has already started for the Korean and European versions of the Galaxy Note 10.
The same reporter on Weibo alleges that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e that was also launched back in 2019 is also in line for the same update and testing is already underway. The reports further state that the update bears software version number T720ZCU1CTG7.DM/T720CHN1CTG7.
We cannot independently verify these reports and as such, you might want to take this with a pinch of salt. However, if this indeed is true, it is in line with previous development that suggested that One UI 2.5 for the Note 10 is imminent.
We can only hope that Samsung does step up and pick up the pace of development of One UI 2.5 to more and more of its eligible devices. Our guess is we should see this update roll out to more Samsung devices after the debut of the Galaxy Note 20 later this week.
Stay tuned for that and much more on all things Samsung in our dedicated Samsung section.
