Xiaomi’s MIUI skin offers a lot of interesting features and with the MIUI 12 update, the OEM has taken the game to another level. However, Xiaomi is known for delivering half-baked updates and then providing bug fixes. There have been instances where the OEM had to pull the updates because of too many issues.

There are many devices that are still running on MIUI 11 while some have received the latest MIUI 12 update. Xiaomi is constantly working on fixing the existing bugs and has already started addressing the most common ones for devices like the Redmi Note 7, Redmi K20 Pro, and more.

Earlier in the month, Xiaomi provided some of its devices running MIUI 11 and MIUI 12 with bug fixes. Also, the OEM stated that upcoming updates will bring bug fixes for issues like MIC not working, P sensor not working, random reboots while using camera, and more.

Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7S

There was an issue where the earphone MIC did not work after updating both Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7S to version V11.0.2.0.QFGINXM. Xiaomi stated that the issue was because of Google assistant and will be fixed in the next update.

Xiaomi Redmi note 7/7S top issue:
1. Earphone MIC is not working in V11.0.2.0.QFGINXM
Next OTA will fix this issue.

Reason: Since the service of Google Voice Assistant is a foreground process and is resident in memory, if you open the voice match of Google Assistant, the input thread is occupied by Google Assistant during recording, which causes the recorder to fail to create the input thread successfully, which causes the recorded data to be empty

Xiaomi Mi A3

In a previous report, Xiaomi also shed some light on the recent Mi A3 woes following the July security update for global users. After the initial rollout was halted, Xiaomi released a newer version to affected units as version V11.0.17.0.QFQMIXM to fix the issues at hand.

Not long after, those who never received the initial July patch picked up an update of their own as version V11.0.19.0.QFQMIXM. The July update has since found its way to European variants of the Mi A3 as well. More on that here.
