The Samsung Galaxy S9 series released back in 2018 and came with Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. Since then the duo has picked up the Android 10 update. Samsung’s One UI 2.0 skin also made an appearance alongside the update.
But Samsung isn’t done tweaking its One UI 2 skin based on Android 10 yet. With the launch of the Galaxy S20 lineup, the company introduced One UI 2.1. It brings a few new features but mostly comes with enhancements and improvements over the previous One UI 2.0 skin.
Earlier, we reported that the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the S9+ began receiving the One UI 2.1 update back in June. This new software was being pushed to unlocked units at the time. Following that, carriers such as T-Mobile and Verizon also began rolling out One UI 2.1 for the devices.
Typically, carrier-branded devices tend to receive software updates a bit later than their unlocked counterparts. Thus, the update was yet to arrive for a few other carriers. Thankfully, users with AT&T, Boost Mobile, and Sprint-branded devices can now rejoice.
This is because the carriers are finally rolling out the One UI 2.1 update for the Galaxy S9 and S9+. The build number for the new update is ETG3 and it also carries the July security patch.
Users have begun confirming the arrival of the new software on social platforms such as Reddit. Here are a few screenshots confirming the rollout for AT&T, Boost Mobile, and Sprint units:

As you can see, the screenshots show the update arriving on the aforementioned carrier-branded devices. Samsung is also releasing its latest skin for the Galaxy Note 9 as well. Sadly, Android 10 will be the last major update for the S9 and Note 9 devices.
This is because both smartphones have already received two major Android updates and Samsung only pushes two Android versions to its devices. You can take a look at all the Android 11 eligible phones from Samsung here.
