Xiaomi does not really have the best track record for providing timely software updates. The company usually pushes out major software updates over the span of a year or more for all eligible phones.

At present, the rollout of Android 10 as well as the MIUI 12 skin is underway for various eligible devices. A few days ago, the Redmi Note 8 Pro began receiving the MIUI 12 Global Stable update based on Android 10.

Now it’s time for Redmi Y3 users to rejoice since the Android 10 update for it is finally rolling out. Moreover, this is a stable update and not a beta version. It comes as the software version V11.0.1.0.QFLCNXM. At the moment, it is only available on Redmi Y3 units in China.

It is available as a standard OTA update and users should be receiving the update notification. If for some reason you rather install it manually, we’ve provided the download link below.

Now that the update is available in China, it shouldn’t take much time to release globally. The Android 10 update brings a host of new features and improvements.
