Huawei released its latest iteration of the custom UI, the EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10 along with the launch of Huawei P40 series devices. And since, then, it has paved its way to quite a bunch of Huawei and Honor phones.

There are several new features, that the Chinese OEM has brought with the EMUI 10.1 like multi-screen collaboration, sound booster, Huawei Assistant Ceila, new UX design, Huawei share, Cast + Wireless Projection, new themes, Deterministic Latency Engine, enhanced privacy and more.

The same is expected with the Magic UI 3.1, which is the latest custom skin version for the Honor phones. You will see most of the EMUI 10.1 features being ported over to the Magic UI 3.1.

In the recent past, a lot of devices have grabbed the EMUI 10.1 update, and it was expected to be made available for a new set of devices, soon.

And going by the recent post on Weibo (Chinese equivalent of Twitter) by official Huawei EMUI handle, a bunch of new devices is now eligible to get the EMUI 10.1 update.

As per the post, a total of 13 Huwaei and Honor devices are eligible to be upgraded with the EMUI 10.1 update. Here are all the 13 devices from Huawei and Honor that have been included for the EMUI 10.1 update:

Huawei Devices:

  • Huawei Mate 20
  • Huawei Mate 20 Pro
  • Huawei Mate 20X 4G
  • Huawei Mate 20X 5G
  • Huawei Mate 20 RS Porsche Design
  • Huawei Nova 5 Pro
  • Huawei MediaPad M6 [8.4-inches]
  • Huawei MediaPad M6 [10.8-inches]
  • Huawei MediaPad M6 high-energy version

Honor Devices

  • Honor 20
  • Honor 20 PRO
  • Honor V20
  • Honor Magic2

Note that these devices will be served first in China and gradually will be updated across other regions. Huawei phones will be served with the EMUI 10.1 update while the Honor phones, will pick up the Magic UI 3.1 updates.

All the aforementioned Huawei and Honor phones will be getting EMUI 10.1/Magic UI 3.1 updates via OTA. However, interested users can also trigger the update from the Huawei Support App.  You can go to Services App>>Services>>Upgrade Early Adopters.

Update 1 (July 10)

The update to EMUI 10.1 for the Honor 20 Pro is now live for devices in Poland.

Update 2 (August 12)

The EMUI 10.1 update is now available on some Huawei Mate 20 Pro units in Canada. Further, the EMUI 3.1 update has also been released for the Hono View20 in India as version 10.1.0.221. See the full story here.
