This story is being continuously updated…. New updates are being added at the bottom…..
Original story (from July 03) follows:
The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 released back in 2018 running Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. Asus usually provides at least 2 major Android updates for its smartphones, a trend that’s common with most Android OEMs. However, the release period of these software updates is what most users are bothered about.
Cut to now, the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 is still running on Android 9 Pie. Google released Android 9 Pie in 2018, and it’s still running on the two-year-old device. Fortunately, Asus is making some progress in the area.
The company had kickstarted the Android 10 beta program for the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 earlier this year with the release of the Android 10 beta 1. Then in May, Asus rolled out the Android 10 beta 2 update for the device. Beta testers have been waiting for almost 2 months for a new update.
It seems the wait is now over since the ZenFone Max Pro M1 Android 10 beta 3 update is now out. This update is also based on the AOSP developer version. Therefore, bugs and glitches are to be expected when using pre-baked software.

The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 Android 10 beta 3 update does not bring any major new changes. Users can expect to see a few bug fixes and an overall improvement in performance. Below are the changes and improvements that are mentioned in the release notes.
Improve Items:
1. Android 10 upgrade.
2.Please be aware that installing this system image on a device removes all personal data from the device, so please remember to back up your data first.

Unfortunately, users who were expecting the stable ZenFone Max Pro M1 Android 10 update will still have to wait. At present, it’s unclear when Max Pro M1 units will receive the stable version. But since the company has released beta 3 five months after beta 1 update, a stable Android 10 release is probably the next target.
