Xiaomi has a slightly different way of delivering features to its devices. While other OEMs bring a bunch of new features with new versions of Android, Xiaomi does that with mee versions of MIUI. The current sensation is the MIUI 12 skin on top of Android.

At the moment, a few Xiaomi devices have already been updated to MIUI 12. At the same time, MIUI 12 Global beta is already running for Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7S, Redmi Note 7 Pro and Poco F1 (Pocophone F1). More on that here.

Understandably, users of devices that are in line for an update to MIUI 12 soon, are eagerly awaiting the rollout of this update to their devices. The company already published its roadmap to this update for its devices and so users have a pretty good idea of when they should expect the update for their devices.

Today, a number of Redmi devices are set to receive the much-awaited MIUI 12 update in Stable form, if recent reports are anything to go by. According to a Weibo post from Redmi’s official handle, the company plans to roll out MIUI 12 Stable to a number of Redmi devices.

The reports further suggest that the Redmi devices that should get updated to MIUI 12 today include the Redmi 8 Pro MIUI 12, Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7S, Redmi Note 7 Pro, and Redmi Note 8 Pro. Since this message was published on Weibo, it is safe to assume that this only applies to the Chinese market.

Also, while this is the Stable build of MIUI 12, it is also safe to assume that Xiaomi will roll out this build to a limited number of eligible devices for a start, before the same is extended to more devices in a wider rollout.

We shall continue to keep an eye on MIUI 12 and its rollout. As such, we have created a MIUI 12 tracker to keep tabs on the same. We also have a MIUI Android 11 tracker here.
