Xiaomi is slowly pushing the stable MIUI 12 update to eligible devices week after week. The latest to join the party are the Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 7S, Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro, and the Pocophone F1 (Poco F1).

All devices are receiving the beta version of MIUI 12 ahead of the stable rollout in the coming weeks. There are plenty of new features the new skin brings over its predecessor – MIUI 11.

We have highlighted a number of these features here on PiunikaWeb, among them Super Wallpapers, animated icons, floating windows and plenty of new camera features, among others. Not all devices receiving MIUI 12 will receive these features, though.

If you own the Pocophone F1 aka Poco F1, though, one thing that shouldn’t worry you is the chances of getting the new MIUI 12 animations on your device. This stems from the fact that the latest Poco Launcher has ditched the usual animated icons, something fans are not happy with.

Used to get app animation whenever opening and closing an application. Now all of sudden it does not appear within the UI. Any solution?

Sure, affected Poco Launcher users already have a workaround for those who want to bring back animated icons to the launcher. The process is as below:

1. Go to settings
2. Select apps
2.1. Manage apps
3. Search for Poco Launcher
4. Simply Clear cache memory
5. Reboot device

As you can see, the steps are pretty simple. But even better is that Xiaomi has plans to bring all MIUI 12 animations to the Poco Launcher in the near future. Until then, though, the above trick is your best option.

The confirmation came from Xiaomi Indonesia and Poco Global boss Alvin Tse via his Twitter account as the screenshot below depicts.

The Poco F1 will be upgraded to the stable MIUI 12 update in July, which is when Poco Launcher users can expect to enjoy the new animations on their Poco F1 and other Poco handsets. We will be here to tell you about the rollout when it begins.
