Erangel 2.0 has officially hit the Game For Peace (GFP) servers of PUBG Mobile. By the looks of it, there are plenty of changes being done to the island at different locations. The update is fully expected to drop soon for the global version of the game in the near future.
The update on the GFP version which is basically the Chinese version is about 900MB in size. It focuses on bringing texture changes to locations on the map rather than structural changes to building and surroundings. Today we are going to take a look at some of the major changes spotted in Erangel 2.0 which have been provided by Classified YT.
Georgopol 2.0
Georgopol and the following locations on this list have been majorly revamped in terms of looks and style. While dropping in Georgopol, the changes are instantly noticeable from the sky. Upon landing you will notice that the ground has been re-textured and a dense foliage has been added.
Grass now covers major portions of the ground and many bushes have been placed around containers. Enemies can use this to hide and ambush you so be watchful of snakes. The warehouse texture has also been changed providing it with a more stylistic look.
The interior structure remains more or less the same, with flooring changes. The container loading cranes have seemingly been through alot as they are now covered with rust. This goes well with the fact that it was once an operational cargo loading area but now it’s abandoned.
School 2.0
The first thing you’ll notice immediately after landing is that the school buildings have been recoloured. The school committee might have hired some painters because we are out with the old brick colour texture of the walls and in with a new palette.
The main school building has been recoloured yellow and the swimming pool building has been coloured green. There are flags around the main entrance of the building and in the centre is a huge green statue. Inside, we observed flooring changes and a simplistic approach to wall textures. The school looks much more realistic now.
Mylta Power 2.0
A few changes have also been done here that might increase the player drop rate. The foliage around the whole place has increased with more lush green grass and trees. The nuclear reactor domes have been reworked.
As seen from the trailer, one dome is perfectly fine while the other has suffered damage. It appears broken from the top now. The new warehouse design spotted in Georgopol now applies here as well. The main Mylta Power building has also seen minor changes.
Military Base 2.0
If you have what it takes to survive the skirmish of the Military Base then you can observe some changes here as well. Many statutes can be seen around the whole place and a lot of flags have been added as well.
Tiny globe like statues are scattered throughout this location. The tower near the exit of the base, which had a staircase leading up to the top is damaged. It is still open for players, the destruction is just a design choice.
Other Changes
There are certain small changes as well which will be general to the entire map. In the GFP Erangle2.0 buildings had glass panels on windows. At first this seems like a small change but it can really affect encounters with other players. You can now listen to the glass being broken by a player jumping out which can help you get ready for them sneaking up on you.
The squad houses with the accessible rooftop had a large container on them. It looked rusted and provided a nice hiding spot behind it. Additionally, the spawn island has also seen minor changes. There are now barricades scattered on the island and a non working heavy cannon placed purely for aesthetics.
The launch date for Erangel 2.0 is not announced yet but it is very likely making its way to the global version of PUBG Mobile. However, Erangel 2.0 might arrive with the upcoming season, which will start around July 12, 2020. Meanwhile, you can download the chinese version from below.
