Various smartphone vendors have recently pushed new software updates to some of their devices sold in India to enable VoWiFi (WiFi calling) function on Reliance Jio and Airtel networks.
One common thing about the devices receiving VoWiFi support is that they have Android 10 running the show. The Nokia 5.1 Plus got it with the update to Android 10 and so did the Galaxy M10s and Galaxy A20. Google Pixel 3 series is already on Android 10.
OPPO devices have also followed a similar path, with only those on the latest ColorOS 7 update guaranteed support for VoWiFi. The Reno 10x Zoom recently got the feature via the May 2020 security update and now we have the company’s near-future VoWiFi plans.
Below is a tweet from the official OPPO ColorOS Global account, although the information concerns the Indian market.

Besides the Reno 10x Zoom, VoWiFi function is also available on the OPPO K3, A9, A9 2020, A5 2020, F9, F9 Pro, F7, F7 128G, F11, F11 Pro, F11 Pro Avengers Limited Edition, Reno, Reno2, Reno2 F, and R17 Pro.
Those using the OPPO R15 Pro should get VoWiFi support by the end of this month followed by the Find X series in July 2020. The Find X family already got its ColorOS 7 update.
No specific date has been given, but be sure that we’ll let you know about it when the rollout begins. Meanwhile, check out if your device is likely to receive the official OPPO Android 11 (ColorOS 8) update here.
