The Dragon Ball games have always been praised by fans for staying true to the source material. Fans have often noticed many features of these games directly lifted from the different Dragon Ball series. The developers have always worked towards fan service while incorporating useful elements in the games.
With the latest part 1 of the DLC “A New Power Awakens” for Dragon Ball Z : Kakarot, CyberConnect2 introduced many features in the game. Fans are looking forward to the remainder of the DLC expecting some cool new additions. Recently via a tweet, publisher Bandai Namco revealed a new aerial vehicle coming to the game.
Longtime fans of the series would be quick to recognise the new Tao Pai Pai’s Pillar making its way to Dragon Ball Z : Kakarot. According to the lore, General Tao was a skilled assassin who was ultimately bested by young Goku. In a scene in the Dragon Ball series, general Tao breaks a pillar, throws it into the air and gets on top of it to fly. Sounds over the top but a true iconic moment in the show.
Bandai Namco has promised that the Tao Pai Pai’s Pillar will be added to Kakarot in the coming Spring of 2020. It will be available for players who have purchased the Ultimate Edition of the game. This news first appeared on V Jump which speculates that a paid update for the pillar might be announced soon.
The Tao Pai Pai’s Pillar was advertised a lot since the release of the game. It is an aerial vehicle made to traverse faster in the game. Many fans purchased the Ultimate Edition expecting to see the nostalgic addition. However, it wasn’t added back then.
Bandai Namco has stated that players will have to download the update manually from their consoles. Whereas, Steam players will get it automatically. For us, it is an interesting feature which will be coming soon later this year. We hope it’s the same for you.
For a quick refresher, the game was released on January 16, 2020, & it is available on all the major platforms including PC, Xbox One & PS4. Dragon Ball Z Kakarot gives an opportunity to players to once again relive the epic Dragon Ball saga.
