This story is being continuously updated…. New updates are being added at the bottom…..
Original story (June 10) follows:
Heavy skinned OEMs like Samsung, have to work an extra mile in order to be ready to push new Android OS upgrades, as they have to pair their own custom skin (One UI 2.0) along with the OS.
Samsung has had quite a phenomenal run in terms of pushing the Android 10 updates, considering the vast portfolio it has under its belt. And as time is passing by, more eligible devices are grabbing the Android 10 (One UI 2.0) updates.
And going by some official information, the Android 10 (One UI 2.0) update on the Galaxy A10e, could arrive in a few days from now, i.e. on June 16. Well, the software update schedule page of one of the major carriers in Canada, Telus, suggests the same.
However, if we look at the software update page of the Fido carrier network, it tells that the Android 10 (One UI 2.0) update is “coming soon”.
Taking a look at our dedicated Samsung Android 10 update tracker, the update for the Galaxy A10e is yet to materialize. And if the Canadian variants of the Galaxy A10e will pick up the Android 10 update starting from next week, one can expect the update to roll out in other regions soon.
Notably, the Galaxy A10e has already bagged the WiFi-Alliance certification, long back in February 2020 where it was spotted running Android 10 with firmware version A202F.001.
So, taking into account all the information, we have at present, the Android 10 (One UI 2.0) update is on its way for the Canadian variants of the device, and will start the Telus carrier units first on June 16, 2020, and eventually be pushed for other networks.
And once the rollout begins, the Samsung Galaxy A10e in other regions will also pick up the Android 10 update in the near future.
As far as the Android 11 is concerned, the Galaxy A10e came with Android 9 Pie out of the box, and this Android 10 update will be its first OS update.
Going by the default update plan of Samsung, all devices are eligible to receive two major OS updates. So, the device is very much eligible to pick up the Android 11 update, once it is available for the masses.
