Niantic recently revealed the details regarding the Solstice themed event. It will feature Lunatone & Solrock along with some more Sun & Moon related Pokemon. Also, Shiny Clefairy will be available in the wild for the first time under this event.
Cut to now, the Pokemon GO Battle League feature has been disabled from the game by Niantic. This information has been shared on the Niantic Support Twitter handle. GBL will stay closed until further notice. Have a look at it down below.
This step has been taken by Niantic to fix the exploit in GO Battle League which has been used by cheaters from the past couple of days. According to many players reports, there was an exploit with Melmetal & a few other Pokemon.
It allowed cheaters to generate more energy & use charge moves extremely fast. Reportedly, they were using fast moves during their charged move animation. By using this exploit, they were winning every battle & ranked up on Leaderboard.
Niantic has taken the route of the official blog to address this issue. Well, devs have not detailed the exploit but they have listed steps to mitigate it. Niantic believes that there is “Contract of Trust” in GO Battle league & a trainer knowledge & skill should determine the outcomes of battles.
But cheating directly breaks this trust & it will not be tolerated by Niantic. When an exploit is identified by their team, it is first analyzed, then its severity is determined. Once these two things are done, a proper process is followed to mitigate it.
In related news, Latios & Latias are now available in raids. They will stay live until June 15, 2020, at 10 pm local time. As both of these Pokemon are Dragon & Psychic-type they are weak against the Ice-type, Bug-type, Ghost-type, Dark-type & Fairy-type attacks.
