Xiaomi Mi 10 & Mi 10 Pro pick up MIUI 11-based May patch in Europe while users await MIUI 12 update

It is always exciting when your device gets a new update. The thoughts that your device has just gotten more secure or learned a few new tricks is a gift that keeps on giving.

Over the past couple of years, various OEMs have radically improved in terms of rolling out updates to their devices. Even Chinese OEMs have upped their game.

Today, Xiaomi is seeking to further solidify its stand as a company that is mindful and keen on delivering the very latest security updates to its devices by rolling out the May security patch update to the Xiaomi Mi 10. This update has been rolled out to users in Europe.

This update comes even at a time when many users of the Mi 10 are on edge as to when their device is likely to bag the much-awaited update to the company’s new skin, MIUI 12.

From this update’s changelog, it doesn’t appear as though this update brings anything more than just a little bump in the Android security patch level.

Of course, this update will roll out in phases to the Mi 10 devices in Europe over the course of the next couple of weeks. It is therefore advisable that you sit tight and check on your system update frequently for when you get the update notification.

It is worth noting that the Xiaomi Mi 10 is already receiving stable builds of MIUI 12 in China. With the Chinese devices bagging this highly anticipated build, it might only be a matter o time before the same is extended to the international variant.
