Motorola Moto G7 Android 10 update releases for India

After being available for a number of regions, the Android 10 update is now finally rolling out for the Motorola Moto G7 users in India.

Motorola has been a bit behind as compared to other OEMs in rolling out the Android 10 updates for its eligible devices. But, as the days are passing by, more Motorola phones are picking up the latest OS update.

Although the update has been already live for the Moto G7 in other regions, Indians users were eagerly waiting to receive the OS update and experience all the latest features Google has to offer with Android 10.

The update was slated to hit the Moto G7 units somewhere in Q2 of 2020 and later, it was pushed for July 2020. However, it seems like the OEM had other plans and the update is now rolling out earlier than expected.

As per the official software update page, Motorola has begun seeding the Android 10 update for the Motorola Moto G7 starting from June 8.

As Motorola is famous for running a close-to-stock Android UI, so expect less bloatware and all the Android 10 goodies in this update for the Moto G7.

This new update will bring Digital Wellbeing, new gesture navigation, smart reply, enhanced location, and privacy settings, live caption, new parental controls, and much more along with it.

Matter of fact, Moto G7 users in India have already started to pick up the updates.

We do not have the Android 10 changelog with us so, it is pretty unclear what all other enhancements if any, this new update tags along for the Motorola Moto G7.

While we are discussing Android 10, there might a few folks who are wondering whether the Moto G7 will pick up the Android 11 update or not?

Well, ideally, the Moto G7 should receive the Android 11 update as it would be the device’s second major OS update.

However, if we keep Motorola’s history in mind, it is pretty unclear whether the Moto G7 will pick up the Android 11 update or not, as Motorola has not been consistent in pushing updates for its older devices.

Since this is no official information, expect some changes, once official information comes out.
