The new season of Call of Duty Modern Warfare & Warzone is getting delayed due to ongoing protests in the US & to support the cause “Black Lives Matter.” Protests are happening all over the world to get justice for George Floyd. He died on May 25 from asphyxia, when a white police officer knelt his leg on George’s neck for several minutes.
This incident has seen major protests all across the US states. However, protests at many places have turned violent & Trump has blamed Left Anarchists & Antifa for these evil activities. Well, many big organizations have stood up for this cause including Sony, Apple, Spotify & others.
Sony has delayed the reveal of PS5 in order to support this cause. Call of Duty official Twitter handle released a statement regarding the delay of the new season. “While we all look forward to playing the new seasons of Modern Warfare, Warzone and Call of luty: Mobile, now is not the time. We are moving the launches of Modern Warfare Season 4 and Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 to later dates.
Right now it’s time for those speaking up for equality, justice and change to be seen and heard. We stand alongside you.”
Call of Duty Modern Warfare Season 4 was scheduled to release on June 3. But now, it has been delayed & no new date for its release has been confirmed yet. The upcoming season is expected to bring a range of new content to the game.
According to data mined leaks, Modern Warfare will get a new sniper rifle, Rytek AMR, for the coming season. Akimbo Blades are also expected to arrive in Season 4. Scrapyard can be seen as a new map for the new season.
Captain Price, a fan-favorite & iconic character from the original Call of Duty game will also arrive in Season 4. Coming onto to Call of Duty Warzone, it is expected to get flooded & we can expect some major map changes.
