This story is being continuously updated…. New updates are being added at the bottom…..
Original story (May 28) follows:
The Android 10 (Funtouch OS 10) beta recruitment for the Vivo Z5, Z5X, Z5i, and Vivo S1 Pro began a few days ago, out of which, the Vivo Z5X and Vivo S1 Pro have already started receiving the beta updates.
Vivo has not been at the forefront when it comes to pushing the Android 10 updates for its devices. It took its own sufficient time to bring about the Funtouch OS 10 update onto its eligible phones.
And now, as per the official announcement made on the community channel, it is about time for the Vivo Z5 and Z5i to pick up the Android 10 (Funtouch OS 10) beta updates.
Note that the updates are being pushed only for those users who were successful in registering themselves with the beta program. Moreover, the beta updates are being pushed for the Chinese users only.
The update, as you would expect, is bringing all the latest features of Funtouch OS 10, for instance, minimalistic design, new system dynamics, new gesture system, quick share, smart voice assistant, animated lock screen, new live wallpapers and more.
Additionally, all the core features of Android 10 are also embedded with this beat update for the Vivo Z5 and Z5i phones. The update is arriving with version number V6.8.11 on the Vivo Z5, while it arrives as version V6.10.1 on the Vivo Z5i.
The updates weigh 3.76 GB for the Vivo Z5 and is expected to somewhere around the same size for the Vivo Z5i. Here are the screenshots of the updates received on both the devices:
Users of the Vivo Z5 and Vivo Z5i who have successfully registered for the Android 10 (Funtouch OS 10) beta program should be getting the update via OTA. The update will be hitting the units in a staggered manner.
If you haven’t yet picked up the update, then you should head over to Settings>System Update and check for the update manually and hit the notification if the update is available.
