It seems like there is no stopping Realme, as the brand has now extended its footprint in the IoT market here in India with the launch of its Android Smart TVs and the much anticipated, Realme Watch.
Back in March in the AskMadhav episode 16, Realme India CEO Madhav Seth teased the Realme Watch for a brief while and it got the netizens all hyped about the product.
Later, all sorts of information came in regarding the Realme Smartwatch and what all features can be expected out of it. Well, finally the Realme Watch was launched yesterday in India with a price tag of INR3,999.
The Realme Watch will go on sale via Flipkart and the official Realme website on June 5, starting at 12 PM. The company has also made it clear that offline sales will be made soon after.
Talking about the features of the Realme Watch, the watch has 1.4-inch (320×320 pixels) touchscreen display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It has removable wrist wraps and is IP68 dust and water resistance.
It packs a 160 mAh battery, offers Bluetooth 5.0, and can be connected to Android 5.0 or above devices via the Realme Link app. The watch also offers realm-time heart rate monitoring along with a PPG sensor that records the heart rate every 5 minutes. SpO2 monitoring allows the user to check blood oxygen levels as well.
You get 14 different modes to track your health such as Cricket, Indoor Run, Outdoor Run, Walk, etc. Other functions include sleep monitoring, sedentary reminders, drink reminder, etc.
Talking about the interface, it is pretty sleek and you can get notification alerts from your phone, snap a photo or play/pause the music. The Realme Watch has inbuilt 12 watch faces. Additional 100 watch faces will be added via OTA.
And adding more excitement to this, Realme CMO, Francis Wang has revealed that the company will be bringing iOS support for the Realme Watch soon and it is under development.
Furthermore, the CMO also has revealed that more watch faces for the Realme Band will be added via a future OTA update, which is great news for the Realme Band users.
