Xiaomi has a new software update for owners of the Mi A2 Lite. The OTA update is available for two sets of users – those coming from Android Pie and those who received Android 10 in the last wave.
The first Mi A2 Lite Android 10 update was pushed in March 2020. This was quickly halted after the firmware was found to be a haven of bugs. The update was re-released the following month as version 11.0.4.0.QDLMIXM, tagging along April security patches.
Even with the updated version, not every single Mi A2 Lite unit out there received the OS. Matter of fact, it is only now that some of those who were left behind have started seeing the OTA download notification to install Android 10 on their Mi A2 Lite sets.
Similar to previous releases, the update weighs in at 1.15GB, but this time around, you get the latest May 2020 security patch. As you can see from the latest screengrab below, it is identical to the one above from April.
The latest OTA update is arriving as version 11.0.5.0.QDLMIXM – the same version that is hitting units that already upgraded to Android 10 last month. In the latter case, the file size is just 13.75MB and reportedly fixes the camera sound issue.
Below is a screengrab showing the Mi A2 Lite with the latest May 2020 security patch on board.
There’s always the option to stick around until the OTA download notification arrives. Alternatively, you can grab the firmware via the link below and flash it manually to get the latest Android 10 version on your Mi A2 Lite.
