Original story (published on May 10) follows:

The OS update process transparency of the Chinese phone maker Oppo is worth appreciating. The OEM actively shares the quarterly as well as monthly update plans (for stable as well as beta releases) to keep its users well informed and less curious about what’s happening behind the scene.

Oppo recently shared the ColorOS 7 roadmap for the Q3, as well as the May & June month release dates (stable/beta) for the respective devices.

So far, Oppo devices that have received the stable Android 10 based ColorOS 7/7.1 include Reno 2F, Reno2 Z, Reno Z, R17/R17 Pro, A9, F11/F11 Pro, Find X Lamborghini Edition, Find X Super Flash Edition, Find X, Reno, Reno Ace, Reno Ace Gundam Edition and Reno 10x Zoom.

And today, another device is joining the club, the Oppo Reno 2F. A few days back, the OEM revealed that the Reno 2F device – beta program for which began back in March – will get the stable build in India starting May 10, i.e. today. Other regions will follow on starting May 25.

Living by their words, the OEM has pushed the Android 10/ColorOS 7 stable update in India. The information comes in the form of an official announcement post at the ColorOS community. The update will be coming as version CPH1989EX_11.C.07.

As always, the update is pushed via OTA in batches and will take some time in hitting all the units of the Oppo Reno 2F. But, for those who have not yet received the update notification, you can manually check for it under Settings >> Software Updates. Happy updating!

P.S. With Android 11/Android R under development, some of you must be curious to know if their Oppo device is eligible for the upcoming ColorOS 8 upgrade. Head here to get clarity.
