[Updated] OPPO A11x & OPPO A11 Android 10 (ColorOS 7) beta update early adopters recruitment begins

OPPO is one of the leading smartphone vendors in the world. According to the latest Counterpoint Research stats, the Chinese vendor sits fifth on the list of leading smartphone shipments in Q1 2020.

The company managed to ship over 22 million units across the globe, only bettered by Xiaomi, Apple, Huawei and, of course, Samsung. With only a fraction of these devices on Android 10, OPPO is one reason the new OS has only reached a mere 8.2% of devices to date.

On the brighter side, things seem to be getting better. Several OPPO handsets have picked up the stable ColorOS 7 update based on Android 10. A whole bunch of others has been upgraded to the beta version of the OS for testing purposes.

As per the latest developments, the latter camp is getting new members in the OPPO A11 and OPPO A11x. The company is recruiting owners of the duo to try the ColorOS 7 beta ahead of the stable release.

The OPPO A11x and OPPO A11 Android 10 beta update comes after the same version arrived on the OPPO A5 2020 and A9 2020 a few days ago. As you’d expect, the initial release is limited to China on models PCHM30 and PCHM10.

Only 20,000 slots are available for this particular recruitment exercise and you’ll need version A.49 pre-installed on your A11 or A11x in order to get into this beta program.

To get in, go to the device Settings > Software Updates and in the top right corner, tap on the Settings button. You should see the option to upgrade to ColorOS 7. Once you fill in the required information, you’ll get the OTA update in three days’ time.
