T-Mobile LG G7 ThinQ Android 10 update is up for grabs. The update comes not long after the device was upgraded to the new OS back in the home country of South Korea.
LG had promised to bring Android 10 to the LG G7 ThinQ during this quarter. While the information was with respect to the Korean market, the latest development suggests the rollout should begin in other regions as well.
A Redditor has shared a screengrab of the T-Mobile LG G7 ThinQ Android 10 update indeed confirming that the rollout is airborne. However, the Magenta carrier hasn’t updated the official G7 ThinQ software update page to reflect the latest changes.
Of course, this shouldn’t be an issue. The page should be updated sooner than later. For those still in the dark, the update is meant for the G7 ThinQ variant with model number LM-G710TM.
The many changes the update brings should explain the 1.4GB file size. Also, if the Korean Android 10 firmware is anything to go by, this update should include April 2020 security patch, up from the Pie-based February patch released nearly three months ago.
The update to Android 10 marks the end of the road for the LG G7 ThinQ as far as major OS updates are concerned. Granted, don’t expect an official LG Android 11 update for this device, but this shouldn’t stop you from checking out eligibility and availability details here.
