Thanks to a large portfolio of smartphones, even though Android 10 has been out for about 9 months, Xiaomi is yet to call the Android 10 rollout for its devices, complete. Take Redmi Note 7 for example that is awaiting the update.
There have been several reports, where the moderators have claimed that the Android 10 update for the Redmi Note 7 is slated to arrive this month.
It has also been coined that the Xiaomi is keeping the Android 10 update under wraps for the Redmi Note 7 as it is planning to bring it along MIUI 12. Though, nothing concrete has surfaced confirming this piece of information.
Whatever, the case may be, it looks like the owners of the Redmi Note 7 will have to wait for some more time for the Android 10 or the MIUI 12 update, because, as per a recent report, a new Android Pie based security patch is now rolling out for the device.
Notably, the update brings May 2020 security patchset for the device with version number V11.0.6.0.PFGMIXM. The OTA weighs in around 601 MB in size.
Here is what the complete changelog of the May 2020 security update for the Redmi Note 7, reads:

Ideally, the update has been pushed by the OEM via OTA in batches, meaning that it will take some time in arriving on all the Redmi Note 7 units. Users can head over to Settings>>About Phone>>System Updates>>Check for updates and see if the new update is available for your device or not?
However, those who do not wish to wait for the OTA to arrive on their Redmi Note 7, can download the update package file from the section below, and upgrade their devices manually with the latest security patchset;
